What does Prime Trust do with your personal information?

Updated July 12th, 2017

At Prime Trust, our most important asset is our relationship with you. By nature of the service provided, there are numerous areas where we enable users to self-publish data. This Privacy Policy details what we do with the information we receive and how we strive to protect it. By using the Site, users (“Users” or “you”) consent to our collection and use of information as explained in this Notice, and consent to be bound by the Terms of Use and other guidelines we publish on the Site, as amended from time to time without notice. Users are required to enter into a separate agreement which may contain additional privacy notices or terms of use.

Welcome to the Prime Trust trust and custodial service (the "platform" or “Service”) operated by Prime Trust, LLC ("Prime Trust," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy sets forth our policy with respect to information, including personally identifiable data and other Content that is posted or otherwise collected from users of the Service (“information”).

When you use the platform, you may post and/or we may collect information from you, as further described below:

  1. We store and display information you which you voluntarily provide, either by directly posting on the Service or via frictionless sharing from integration of our APIs or widgets into your software and/or website(s), from direct use of our firm-based internet utilities, and from social media accounts (as defined below in this Privacy Policy). By voluntarily providing us with information you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use Agreement.

  2. As is true of most websites, we gather certain statistical information automatically and store it in log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and metrics data. Prime Trust may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by Prime Trust affiliates, agents or service providers (including, but not limited to, Google Analytics). This Site may use such data and even pool it with others to track, for example, the total number of visitors, the number of page views, and how our users use and interact with the platform, among other things. Also, in an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the platform, Prime Trust often conducts research on its member demographics, interests and behavior based on the information you provide to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis. Prime Trust may share this non-identifiable and aggregate data with its affiliates, agents, advertisers, and business partners, so long as this type of non-identifiable and aggregate information does not identify you personally. Prime Trust may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our Service to current and prospective business partners and to other third parties for sales, marketing, accounting, and management purposes.

  3. In operating this service, we also use a technology called “cookies.” A cookie is a piece of code that our computer(s) provide to your browser when you access the Site. Prime Trust uses both session cookies and persistent cookies. Persistent cookies remain after you close your browser for subsequent visits to the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser help file directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears when you close your browser. As with any cookie, if you do not want a cookie set then you need to disable your cookies setting in your browser. Please be aware that doing so may disable your ability to stay logged in to the Service and to use other aspects of our service. Our cookies help provide functionality to the service, such as maintaining your logged-on session, and helping us troubleshoot problems and analyze our service usage more accurately. For instance, we may set a cookie on your browser that allows you to access the service without needing to remember and then enter a password. In all cases in which we use cookies we will not collect any personally identifiable data except with your permission. You may stop or restrict the placement of cookies on your computer by adjusting your web browser preferences.

Prime Trust uses information you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. This includes everything listed above, as well as, more specifically, credit card and bank partner(s) storing and managing information they need, and technology partners performing database back-ups, data mirroring, geographic screening, traffic filters, and other services.

Prime Trust and its affiliated companies, as well as service providers, partners, admin’s, regulators, accountants, auditors, technology partners, and affiliates ("Related Companies") may also use your information, as well as other personally non-identifiable data collected, for anti-fraud purposes, as well as to help us improve the features and functionality of the platform or to engage in any other lawful activities we believe are consistent with the foregoing. Prime Trust and its Related Companies may use this information to communicate with you regarding the Service or to tell you about things we believe may be of interest to you.

We may also provide information to comply with a valid legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order, or to otherwise comply with law enforcement. Prime Trust also reserves the right to disclose personally identifiable information and/or non-personally-identifiable information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to enforce our Terms of Use Agreement, to investigate potential fraud, to take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend itself against any third-party claims or allegations, to assist government enforcement agencies, to protect the security or integrity of our web site, and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Prime Trust, our employees, agents, partners, service providers, users, or others.

We do not share your Content with third parties except as is described and provided for in this privacy policy. This includes everything mentioned anywhere in this Privacy Policy. Some specific examples of this includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  1. We may, via various technology mechanisms, display and/or provide certain information publicly, which may also be indexable by search engine and other spiders. This includes your basic corporate information along with; i. information related to prior securities offerings (but not including any investor names, individual positions or personal information), ii. list and status of payments made against promised setforth in those securities, iii. aggregate securities issued and quantities issued, along with a description of those securities, iv. restrictions, if any, and transferability of any security by class or by investor (where such investors name has been queried by an Admin). You may opt out of this public accessibility by deleting your account;

  2. Related Parties employed by Prime Trust perform certain business functions such as email processing, identity verification, anti-money laundering checks, database management, shipping and fulfillment, and accounting. When we employ someone external to us or engage with external databases to perform specific functions we only provide them with the information that they need to perform such functions;

  3. Prime Trust may disclose your information, including transaction and other details, as required by regulators or government agencies where we, in the good faith, believe that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Prime Trust, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the platform or the public against fraud or other harm, or (iv) protect against legal liability. This may include providing your information to databases hosted by law enforcement or regulatory agencies, as well as to commercial and industry entities who maintain a database and service to assist in fraud prevention and/or regulatory compliance;

  4. Admin’s engaged with on your behalf will have access to view, change and otherwise manage all of your data.

If your information changes, or if you no longer desire to use our service, you may correct, update, amend, suspend, or delete the information by logging onto your account and editing or deleting whatever Content you want, and even deleting your account.

Your password is not known to any employee or third party with whom we may partner, and we will never ask for your password as a means of identifying yourself. You should never share your password with anyone, and if you ever receive an email purporting to come from Platform that asks for your password, you should immediately report this development. We strongly encourage You to take precautions to protect the security of your computer and personal information. For instance, you can start by using a well-chosen password. You should avoid using any information that others can easily learn about you, such as a family member’s name or birthday, and you can also use special characters in place of letters. In addition, we recommend that you change your password frequently. You can install and regularly update antivirus and firewall software to protect your computer from external attacks by malicious users. When you are finished with a session on our site, be sure that you log out. If you use a computer that is accessed by other people, such as in a public library or Internet cafe, we recommend that you take special precautions to protect the security of your Account and personal data. When you are finished using our Site, you should log out completely, then close the browser window and clear the browser’s cache files. You should also be cautious of any fraudulent attempts to gain access to your account information, known as "phishing." Phishing is a tactic used by scammers in which unsuspecting people are brought to a website by a genuine-looking email purporting to be from a legitimate company. The phony or "spoof" email takes the person to a website that looks legitimate but in fact is not. Either in the email itself or on this fake site, scammers will ask for login information to gain access to people’s accounts and withdraw their money. Prime Trust will never ask you for your login information in the context of any email. In general, you can protect yourself against phishing by never providing personal or login information via an email and instead, always go the website directly and not via any links in an email. You might also make it a habit to carefully check the URL of a website to be sure that it is the correct domain.

No password is perfect, so we suggest you change yours frequently and store it in a secure place. Simply log onto your account and change your password.

If you lose your password we will send you a password-reset link to the email address you have in your profile. It is important that you maintain the security and control of that email account, which is your absolute and sole responsibility.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, which may be indefinitely. In the event of payment failures or disputes we may, at our option, suspend your account and selectively or completely deny access to your data until payments are collected.

The Site is not intended for use by children or anyone under the age of 18. No one under the age of 18 is allowed to open an account and use the Services, provide any personal information or exclusively receive our email distributions. Only adults are permitted to provide such information if and when they list a beneficiary to their account(s). We do not knowingly solicit or collect Personally Identifiable information directly from children under the age of 18. If you believe that a minor has disclosed personal information to Prime Trust, please report this to us by emailing

We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Some pages, such as those where we ask for bank ACH or credit card information, are encrypted, as is certain information we store in our database, however the vast majority of web pages on the platform are not encrypted nor copy protected. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have any questions about security on our platform you can contact our Admin.

Prime Trust takes steps to safeguard your personal information through its physical, electronic and operational policies and practices. Data can only be read or written through defined service access points, the use of which is password-protected. The physical security of the data is achieved through a combination of network firewalls (there is no direct communication allowed between the database server and the Internet) and servers with hardened operating systems are all housed in a secure facility. Access to the system, both physical and electronic, is tightly controlled and limited to only those employees or third parties who have a need to know. We do not allow visibility of your Social Security number, bank account information, or credit card information via the Site. Further, we also equip our servers with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate technology to ensure that when you connect to our Site you are actually on our Site. SSL also ensures that all data entered into the Site are encrypted. To verify that SSL is being used, look for the key or padlock icon on your browser. For further encryption protection, we use a 128-bit secure browser for logins and transactions.

We use major, industry-leading and PCI compliant datacenters and technology partners to host and also backup all data. However, we can provide no assurance that the services provided by such third-party vendors are adequate and, although widely used, will be sufficient to protect your data.

We appreciate the feedback and raves we get from our users! In many cases, we may display comments and testimonials we receive from users, in addition to other endorsements. If you write a comment, send us an email, or other communication, you hereby consent we may edit it in our discretion and use it, with or without your name, anywhere we desire, including, but not limited to, our website(s), press releases, newsletters and marketing material, with or without a link to your profile. We retain the right, at our discretion, to decide which testimonials to use, where to use them, in what form, in whole or in part, and for how long.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our website and services. Links to other websites not operated or controlled by Prime Trust ("Third Party Sites") are provided for your convenience, and you hereby acknowledge and accept that you need to read the terms of use agreements and privacy policies of any and all site(s) that you click a link to visit. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of each website that you visit. We do not endorse, screen, or approve, and are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of, other websites or services that may be linked to and from our Site.

We may send persons who have opened an account with us, as well as those who have subscribed to our updates list, various e-mail communications with updates and marketing materials. If you are not an account holder and would prefer not to receive e-mails from us, you may unsubscribe completely by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email. You are permitted to change your email address at any time by accessing your account dashboard. We do not permit users to delete any account entirely but instead we designate it as inactive. Once an account is designated as inactive, the user can no longer login into the Site but the existing activity that was already made public will remain visible.

We are not responsible for removing your personally identifiable information from the lists of any third party who has previously been provided your information in accordance with this notice.

Please remember that what you write or publish on the platform may be visible to the public and that the information may be seen by others. Even password and encryption technology is not perfect and may fail or be hacked from time to time, and software bugs may cause otherwise private information to be accessible by others. We act only as a distributor and do not censure information or moderate the Service (though we may take action when notified of content which is illegal or in violation of the Terms of Use Agreement). When you post information onto the Service you do so at your own risk.

Prime Trust uses commercially reasonable technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to, or publish on the Service and you agree that you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your Content, we make commercially reasonable efforts to secure our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. If we learn of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive a free written notice of a security breach you should notify us by emailing our admin.
